NexGen Athletic personal training plans are comprehensive, custom, and easy to follow. Whether you want to improve your powerlifting, optimize your physique, improve your performance in a specific sport, or just keep feeling your best as you get older, there is a perfect plan for you. Plans are periodized throughout the 3-month intervals to ensure that you are always improving and never bored. Each plan is designed using the latest exercise science principles and techniques. Maybe you are someone who likes to lift 5 days a week, or perhaps you only have 15 minutes a day. Either way, there is a perfect plan for you that will have you seeing results in record time!
Coming from a gymnastics background in my youth, I quickly learned the importance of having a body that can do what you want it to when you want it to. Life is full of adventures, and it is crucial to prepare your body so that it can handle anything you throw at it. I have found the joy in training, even when pushing myself to limits I didn't think possible. I have created a physique I am proud of and a body that can run, swim, bike, and climb with ease. I want the same for you, no matter what stage of life or your fitness journey you are at.
I started my athletic journey as a gymnast, giving me the strength, coordination, and body awareness that translated into so many other areas of my life later on. In high school, I competed in cross country, track, pole vaulting, tennis, and on the swim & dive team. I am also an avid skier, not missing a season since I was 3 years old. I have competed in many triathlons and running races of varying distances. In the last few years, I have gotten back into rock climbing regularly again, ensuring my strength remains functional.
The most important thing I bring to the table is my extensive knowledge of the latest science surrounding all things health and fitness. I studied the Science of Food, Nutrition, and Exercise at Virginia Tech and have multiple advanced certifications in personal training and nutrition. However, I believe my most valuable asset is the knowledge I have acquired through reading every study I can find, listening to countless experts on a wide array of subject matters, and my never-ending quest for learning and self-experimentation. I have trained over 100 clients in person over the last decade, honing my skills and realizing what works and, more importantly, what doesn't work. One of the best compliments I get often from clients is, "How do you know so much about so many different topics?!". It is because I want to learn everything I can so that I can help as many people as I can.
